I went into the router settings and turned the firewall off. Check your ip settings and s/n.

Make sure your modem and router are in sync with one another.

Just thought id make this a bit cleaner mods. It seems that at least a couple of people have gotten running off of this so i thought id give it a better title and clean it up some.

Ok, basically i spent about 20 hours trying to get my ihub running but nothing I seemed to do could get it to work. I believe what I did wrong was press apply before putting in the serial number and I think this made my life very difficult. Here is what I finally did to get it going. Please keep in mind that some of these steps may not be required but I would hate to dismiss anything at this point.

1. go in to your ihub settings and zero absolutely everything even put a 0 in place of svftaiks.com and press apply

1. turn off your reciever and unplug ihub from the back

1. turn off your router and let it sit for at least 30 seconds to a minute

1. turn on your router

1. turn on your reciever (do not plug in ihub)

1. plug in ihub (the reciever should pick it up then reboot after about 30 seconds)

1. go into settings set to static then go down and put your local port on 80 Set it back to DHCP. Set "use DNS" to yes and put in svftaiks.com in the DNS IP space (I used all lower case letters). Put your server port on 1920. Enter your serial #. Press apply and do a hard boot

1. Now when my SV8000 came back on it said "network adapter connected". Yours may or may not do this. Go in to "USER OPTIONS" and put it on IHUB for "used Priority"

1. If all went well you should have *** in a couple of minutes or you can try chan 301 on Charlie to see if it comes on briefly. If it does you are in business and you can set your Used Priority to both. That should be it

The 2wire modem is a four port router also. Qwest uses the 2wire modem along with a few other ISPs.
