FTA Status: 10/09/09--> Re: Working DN channels (from various internet posts)Dish had relocated their uplink server from Colorado to Texas. They probably thought they wouldn't run into probs and started the switch at approximately 2am on November 08. Shortly afterwards, customers started reporting that some of their receivers would not work and that they were getting an "Error Code 005" on the screen. It was also reported that they could not get through to Dish Network customer support. Some subscribers mentioned that they were disconnected by Dish Networks phone system after being on hold for over 45 minutes. Others reported not being able to get through and getting fast busy signals. Others reported that customer accounts on Dish Network’s website were also messed up showing false information such as strange balances, showing a customer was signed up for auto pay when they were not and even in a few cases the last 4 digits of the credit card on file displayed was not the customers credit card. Dish Network issued the following statement on the matter, “A server failure at an uplink center overnight caused a temporary loss of programming being delivered to a small percentage of DISH Network customers. The issue was resolved quickly and those customers affected had their programming restored by morning.” DN removed all N3 encryption from the stream so that they could restore full functionality while having a minimal effect on end users. Some IKS stb's also had problems because the IKS servers get their control words and other needed timings directly from the card, and if the card (subs) are getting error 005 nag then its going to deliver the same thing for the IKS server to send out to people connected to it. Turn off your IKS, and turn on full emu/autoroll. PPV and other channels have already been restored to N3 encryption. The remaining channels will follow soon. 10/08/09--> PPV channels have already started to drop off (put back in the N3 stream). 10/08/09--> DN is wide open using existing N2 files on most testing platforms (FTA, Plastic. Atmega, etc.). Enjoy the channels while you have them, I am sure they will not last long. Usually when something like this happens, it is a sign that they are up to something. 10/06/09--> For those crying for the status report to be updated here is your update. There is nothing to update! This status report will be updated when ever there is something to report. 08/17/09--> VS N3 Update Quote:
06/24/09--> All of the remaining encrypted channels have been switched over to N3. This will pretty much just leave us with Nasa, Angel, and some Ion channels left. Now we must all sit back and wait patiently to see what the coders can do for us. This applies to all testing methods...FTA, Atmega, and Plastic. NO need to hang around refreshing your browser waiting for files. You are just clogging up the site making it difficult for file people to post them. Units using IKS/ICS (Internet Key/Card Sharing) such as Nfusion are running. That means it is connected to the internet and relies on an aux server to get its video authorization "keys" to the clients. It does'nt stream over the internet, but they are getting the keys from a open rom 102,103 application and then sending through IKS. You do expose yourself to giving your IP ADDY to those that want it to track you down though. This list will be updated as fixes are posted. N3 FILES Available? There are NO N3 files available for any receiver at this time. Google adds that appear on many of these types of forums are SCAMS WARNING To CLONE Users!!! Do NOT use Official Pansat, Coolsat or Viewsat files on any Clones! Want to know when new files are posted? If everyone simply hangs on the site waiting for a fix, then the people that actually have them, cannot log on to post them. This happened this week. At that point you become part of the problem and not the solution. Thank You For Your Cooperation dssRookie Staff
