Go to dishpointer.com or /www.satcalculator.freehostia.com and enter your zip there or use the google map to pinpoint the location of your dish more precisely. You will get a dish elevation, motor elevation....etc for your area. Then take your longitude and aim the dish to the closest sat to your longitude. This method is good for when using Diseqc motor control with the receiver, however if you want to use USALS then you should be aiming the dish to your true South. One of those sites will have an option for you to display your south on the map and then you can use a nearby landmark to line it up. Myself, I prefer using Diseqc control because of the ability to fine tune and save the seting once in position.

Thanx Gary Gnu for your input. I'm testing both a Cs4000/Cs6100 & need to know what setting for the DiseqC switch. There are 3 options: 'OFF', 1.0, 1.0/1.1.....thanx again !

I have a motorized dish, using coolsat 6000, I attached a circular lnb, next to the linear, so I use a diseqc swith, and set switch to 1.0 and the linear is committed 1 circular committed 2, but if no switch set it to off

72.7w is your south sat, which happens to be a strong sat.
Use a circular lnb and use tp 12224v sr 20000 to aim.
Once the motor is bolted down you can swap the lnb for a linear one.
The sat is strong so you will get a decent signal even with a linear lnb,if that is all you have.

Thanx 'lutz' for your timely response. I'm using a Invacom dual polarity/quad output lnbf w/Cs4000 receiver. Need setting for diseqc : OFF. 1.0, 1.0/1.1----can someone explain which one & why ?? thanx in advance. (just trying to learn)

On the invacom you need to add one coax from the linear side and one from the circular side, to the diseqc switch. The port you assign in the receiver depends on whether the sat is circular or linear.....For example if you connected the circular output of the invacom to diseqc port 1 then all circular sats are assigned port 1.

For up to 4 satellites, use 1.0. This link will explain why better than I can:
