from what I have read, not from experience, anything below 6' is purely experimental... I have seen on another forum where someone said they used a conic scaler horn with a 40" dish and were able to get some c-band birds to show but the signal strength was a little on the weak side... and they were only able to pick things up at certain times at night, during the day there was far too much interference... do a google search for GeoSat CK1 C/KU Band LNBF, and you can find one advertised for advanced users for smaller sized dishes... this is what true testing is all about, IMHO... experiment experiment experiment!!!

Here's what I get with a 48" mini-BUD setup, with conical scalar ring.
Some of 72W, notably the Kaufman Cards MLB broadcasts
Most of 91W, including the 3 CW feeds.
Some of 99W, including the Virgin Island US Network stations
Some of 121W, including SportsTime Ohio, SD and HD
On 131W, Peachtree TV, when it broadcasts the braves games in HD
Several other channels sprinkled around that any sensible sports fan wouldn't be watching.
Note that the blue conical scalar ring adds about 15 Q points to my cband lnbf signal acquisition.

The DirectV Series III dish is subbed, and on its own boxes. The other two dishes have 3X4 multiswitches on the lnbf, then each receiver in the house has a 4x1 diseqc switch using 3 inputs( #1 is Ku linear, #2 is Ku Circular, #3 is C-band dish ) . I have 4 FTA ird's being fed.

i have tried it with a six feet and it pics up channels really well, ive tried it on pas9 58.w and 99.w and it worked ok, but i don't think the 33 inch will work according to the signal and quality strength that i got on the 6ft
