True FTA Sat. List
by Dipper 1) Channels listed as "DVB" are viewable with an FTA receiver as long as they are unencrypted (yellow). Pink channels cannot be seen. 2) Channels listed as "4:2:2" can be seen with a Twinhan DVB-S card but not with an FTA receiver. 3) Channels listed as "8PSK" can only be seen with an expensive commercial-grade receiver. 4) Channels listed as "Digicipher 2" are viewable only with a 4DTV receiver. Yellow DC2 channels are free, but Pink ones either require a subscription or cannot be seen. 5) Channels listed as "NTSC" are analog and require an analog receiver to see them. 6) Channels listed as "PAL" are analog but requre a PAL-compatible analog receiver and PAL television to see them. 7) Transponders with frequencies in the 3700-4200 range are C-band and require a minimum 6-foot dish with C-band LNB. 8) If the C-band transponders list "R" and "L" frequencies, then they require a dielectric plate on the LNB in order to be viewed. 9) Transponders with frequencies in the 11700-12200 are Ku-band and require a linear LNB and minimum 30" dish. 10) Any Ku-band frequencies in the 10700-11700 range require a Universal LNB.
