White Springs No More?

As much as I like it, I stopped watching White Springs TV (Galaxy 27, 129°W) when my neighbor's tree grew and blocked my "view" of that satellite.

Now Lyngsat says White Springs has left the satellite, and the WSTV homepage (h++p://www.whitesprings.tv/) says:

White Springs Television is becoming...THE GOLDEN AGE OF MOVIES CHANNEL
Watch for new satellite coordinates!

While they're still streaming programming via the Internet, I'm guessing the White Springs folks have run into some $$ problems. Anybody have any info on this?

With all the channels gone from 123°W and now WSTV off of satellite, there is real shortage of English language entertainment programming on True FTA. Let's hope RTV doesn't take a powder!

I noticed they went away a while back. Same messages that you have and website info same. I would like to see them and others in the future start new channels too watch. Some one has to be aware of the growing interest in FTA channels.

If you go to lyngsat, it shows them on a new sat we cant get here.

Why its on a sat that we cant get here I dont know!

As I recall, White Springs was distributed on more than one satellite including transmissions for stations/channels outside the U.S. Basically, they are in the business of bartering programming (with all the Chuck Norris exercise spots, etc.) to cable systems, small TV stations, etc. The terrestrial channel gets the old show, provided it airs the commercials. The FTA audience was just--as they say in Louisiana--lagniappe (a little something extra).

Hate to see 'em go and hope they find another "local" satellite soon (maybe one not blocked by my neighbor's tree)!
