As I recall, White Springs was distributed on more than one satellite including transmissions for stations/channels outside the U.S. Basically, they are in the business of bartering programming (with all the Chuck Norris exercise spots, etc.) to cable systems, small TV stations, etc. The terrestrial channel gets the old show, provided it airs the commercials. The FTA audience was just--as they say in Louisiana--lagniappe (a little something extra).
Hate to see 'em go and hope they find another "local" satellite soon (maybe one not blocked by my neighbor's tree)!
