Help with FTA setup

I need help in setting up my Fortec 80cm dish with a SG2100 motor and a CW700 receiver. The following information is provided:

Longitude: -77.3306W
Latitude: 38.6980N
Magnetic South: 190.6
True South: 180
Dish Elevation: 24
Declination Angle: 6.1
Motor Latitude: 38.7

Thanks for any help anyone could provide.

Prowl around the FTA HELP GUIDES section of this forum and see if you can't find some applicable info: http://www.dssrookie.com/forums/fta-help-guides/

While this is not an endorsement for a particular retailer, this guide will also help:
h++p://sadoun.com/Sat/Installation/Motorized-Setup-Instructions-Dynamic.pdf
They also have some useful YouTube videos there:

The main thing is...make sure your mast is absolutely plumb. Also, remember that both your dish and motor mount elevations can be off by a couple of degrees from published figures. There is interaction between these two which will affect of the shape of the arc the dish traces across the sky.

You don't specify, but virtually all of "true FTA" stuff uses linear polarization rather than the circular polarization used by the subscription services, so make sure you have the right kind of LNB.

There's a lot of trial and error in installing a motorized dish. Be patient and in no time you will be watching people speaking languages you may or may not understand!

Good luck!
