setting east and west limits

Hey I have a 4dtv on a bud (gi-920) when I try to set the limits the recver stays on 5000 and it shows that my east limit is 4999 and west limit goes out to 5001 it wont change from them does anyone know how to fix this
and after i get that fixed I need to know how and what i need to load to get my pansat2500 up and going I have read until i'm confused any help

sounds like a bad connection to the position sensor
or motor. check your wiring.

Thanks I thought that to there is real small lugs that the wires go to so I bypassed the lugs and connected the wires straight together no lugs still the same thing. Are the position sencers easy to go bad, its a new actuator
Is there anything else to check or try ?

Yea it will move I have to hit enter to reset it and then it will move a bump then you have reached the dish limits so I hit reset and move again only the dish position still says 5000 and the limit points are still 5001 and 4999 so I dont have a clue how to fix it any Ideas ?

Are you using the option menu?
opt 6
then 4 to the installation menu
1 ALLOW THE DISH TO MOVE
YES...
3 SET LIMITS

1 east limit < moves east

2 west limit > moves west

hope this helps

Hey I got it up it was the reed switch it wasnt in the block and not counting so Thanks for all the help you guys made me go check everything again and I found it so Thanks Guys

Smile Just trying to help

the wire for the switch on the motor wasn't in the termination block properly. he retraced all connections to solve the problem hope that clarifies things.
