As Chrysler prepares to cut ties with dealerships around the nation, people are finding amazing deals on new cars this weekend.
Chrysler is restructuring and has told nearly 800 dealerships across the country they won't be allowed to sell new cars as of Tuesday.
At Quality Chrysler on Lomas, cars are flying off the lot. While they still have a good number of cars, they say they don't know how much longer that will last.
Janelle Brookhouser heard about the amazing deals available at closing Chrysler dealerships, so she came to Quality Chrysler to look at something for off-roading.
Brookhouser said Saturday, "That's why I want to do some bargain hunting and do some bargaining about what they have available."
The new car director at the dealership says they are having trouble keeping up with the number of customers.
"We've had more people on the lot than we've had salespeople to help them," New Car Director Chris Nathe said.
Some cars on the lot have had as much as $9,000 taken off their original price and by Saturday evening, Quality Chrysler was starting to run out of inventory.
Quality has sold more cars in the first six days of June than they did in all of May.
The cars in the dealer's inventory that aren't sold by Tuesday will be sold to other Chrysler dealerships.
That's not something Nathe would like to see happen. "I'd rather wholesale to customer than have to wholesale to a dealer after the ninth," he said.
These are also the final days they can offer rebates and other incentives from Chrysler.
Salesmen on the lot say don't expect ridiculous deals, but they will definitely be the most drastic discounts on a new car you are ever likely to find.
After June 9, the last day of their affiliation with Chrysler, Quality Chrysler says they will sell used cars until they can pick up another new car franchise.
