feb 17 2009

when everything go digetal will our box still work or we have to get new recievers i have a viewsat pro and ultra

Your Viewsat's are already digital. It only affects the analog signals being transmitted over the air.

No, on that date the broadcasters will stop broadcasting all analog TV signals. You will have to have a converter box to get TV off the air after that. This doesn't really affect sat broadcasts, just ones picked up off the old antenna.

I believe you can actually still rabbit ears to get UHF ATSC HD terrestrial (not broadcast via satellite) channels that may be broadcast in some bigger cities? There is indeed a terrestrial antenna input on the 9000HD that can be used for that purpose.
