But why you were'nt asked for userid is beyond me.

• Which button did you click (3-month or 1-year)? and
• which style are you using ? (style chooser is the bottom left corner as to how you want to see the forums...)

The box is on the second page of the checkout. You have to drop the box down to enter user id. It could be possibly a little miss-leading. I had read your post reguarding the use of paypal and looked for the place to put in the ID.

I clicked on the 1-year box and I'm using the "Default Expanded" style.

Was the PayPal site supposed to ask for my userid or was I supposed to be asked for that before I got to PayPal? I use PayPal a lot and may have not been paying attention while on their website since I know what to expect and I'm probably a bit robotic filling in the info.

There is. When you log on to Paypal, before you click on the "Pay" box, look to your left. (Your other left....) You should see a blue link with a plus mark beside it that says to enter your userid here. (or something similar). Click on the blue thing or the + and a box will open up to enter your information in.

It was not as intuitive as it could be, but hey, I am used to working with eBay.

I was able to figure it out. Time from start to finish?? About 1 1/2 minutes, and all I did was see the link change on the home page....
