Cruzat get one for me as i cant hunt any more![]()
Well we still don't have a forum for hunting and fishing so I guess this is a good a place as any. LOL
Deer hunting season came in here last Saturday.
I saw about 6 does opening day then a few the day be yesterday.
Well I yet to see a buck and the rut will be starting soon so two does came out today and I thought I may as well take one or both if I can before the rut starts.
Got both of them.
Here in my state whitetail deer are so over populated we can kill up to 4 does a season and kill them all through the season.
Maybe I'll get a buck during the rut.
Cruzat get one for me as i cant hunt any more![]()
maybe Cruzat will send us all some jerky. lol
good luck cruz, seen two bucks thursday going on a job,i know where they live.
UHAUL
I've been busy with hunting and other things but thought I'd post this.
Looks like this may be the best I can do this year as I only have 3 more weeks.
Got this 10 pointer the Saturday before Thanksgiving.
It's not all that wide and not a lot of mass but true 10 pointers are rare around here.
I decided to go ahead and have it mounted and while at the taxidermist one of the guys that works there said that he recognised the deer.
Turns out a friend of his hunts about two miles up the road from me and has pictures of the deer on his trail cam and has even shot at the deer twice and missed once with a bow and once with rifle.
The guy is supposed to email me the pictures when he gets time so I'll have the pics to show the deer before the kill and the mounted head to show after the kill.
Coming home the other night I saw Bambi LOL...
It crossed the road just ahead of me in the high beams, Man that's
a large coyote but don't run like one... when I got close I saw it was a
very young deer. First I have seen in a residential area, but it backs right
into the forest... Got lost and cornered with all the fences but no
problem just jumped it, hope there wasn't a rottweiler in there...
I used to go hunting and hiking from 9 mile can. all the way to Kennedy
Meadows and that area is full of Deer, Bobcats, Mt. Lions and BEAR!
This is the area just above Mojave at the far N end...
West of Little Lake / Lone Pine. and East of Lake Isabella. / Kings Can.
area.
Light travels faster than sound. That's why some people appear bright until you hear them speak.
Well I just got those pics today so I scanned the best two to post here.
This is the same 10 pointer above a few weeks before he walked out in front of me.
These pics were taken about two miles from where I hunt but it is the same deer.
I just got my deer head back from the taxidermist (I know long time) and thought I'd post a pick.
Again it's not a big one but it's very nice for around here and it is beautiful shaped rack.
