It's hard to kill a Honda. I am a Honda guy first Yamaha seconded. Yamaha's refinement has come so far in the last 10 years.

Old threads never die either,,,, Good!

I still have my dad's 1966 CB160 with 1200 miles on it in mint condition
in storage. and a 1965 Mini Bike LMAO,,,
That one I stole the motor off the Craftsman Lawnmower to ride and
now thinking of getting a Harbor Freight 2 1/2 HP motor for $79.00?

I still prefer to ride my DRZ400 or KLX650 on the road or YZ426/wr450 in the dirt.

eBay just had a Suzuki 400 1972 Enduro listed in MINT cond. that didn't
reach the $10,000.00 reserve LMAO it only got the Mid $8k...
It was restored and looked factory FRESH!
Just for laughs do a search for: 1972 Suzuki SUZUKI TS 400 APACHE
    It closed YESTERDAY.....

Anyone watch Pawn Stars? Some months ago the fat kid got a Husky400 dirt bike and turned it into A chopper to CRUZE the Vegas
BLVD on .... WHAT A WASTE of a good bike I almost killed the TV when
I saw that. More $$$ than brains on that project.

Just traded in my 2005 Yamaha Road Star Silverado (1100mi.) for a more sporty 2011 Raider S.

    1900cc and loving it.

I love the way the pipes look so don't want to change them for aftermarket. I think these pipes look a lot better, but I was wondering if I can drill some 3/8" holes in a circular pattern on the exhaust pipe circle?

    ie.
    ____o
    __o___o
    o__( )__o
    __o___o
    ____o

But in a perfect circle of course...

Would this affect anything, engine wise?

It shouldn't hurt the motor a bit. My pipes were rotted out when I got it.....sounds like a Harley when I get on it.

Been out of bikes for awile but have a 83 Honda Ascot VT500 that was given to me...never heard of it till I got one but for a 500 she keeps right up to my buddy's 1200 sportster and I feel more comfortable over 100mph than I am on his bike. Had a new 850 Virago back then and I think this sucker would kill it in the 1/4 mile.
